THANKSGIVING WITH THE 10TH AIR FORCE

Several members of the FWAPC were invited to attend a Thanksgiving dinner with the members of the 10th Air Force at their Desert Storm Center. The day turned into a “Triple-header.”

It began with Mike Snyder and Council board members presenting a $10,000 check from the Foundation to M/Gen Frank Padilla for the 10th AF Contingency Fund. This check represents money raised at SkyBall for our troops & families in need.

M/Gen Padilla helped arrange a surprise presentation by FWAPC chairman John Kinnear to Lt/Col Roberta Smith of 10th AF POA.  The FWAPC had earlier voted Roberta an Honorary Membership in our Council. Roberta will soon be transferring to Robins AFB in Georgia. She has been a loyal friend and an exceptional supporter of FWAPC.

Lastly, as guests, we were able to partake in an excellent Thanksgiving dinner with our friends of the 10th. There were many “You must try this…my Mom made it” delicacies, and your representatives did not pass up a thing.
