MAG 41 - Change of Command Ceremonies

Colonel Gary "Gumby" Graham relinquished his command of Marine Group 41 at NAS JRB today to Colonel Kevin "Wolfy" Iiams.

The Reviewing Officer, Major General John M. Croley, Commanding General, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, New Orleans, LA. MG Croley has a long and distinguished career with the Marine Corps and has a history of support of "American Airlines involvement in the airline's Veterans Initiatives." He most recently attended the LULAC Convention in San Juan Puerto Rico where he saw video footage of the Operation Iraqi Children (OIC) Initiative, as well as the very prestigious MILITARY award given to Captain Jim Palmersheim, Director of Veterans Initiatives for the Airline. Jim is also co-chair of SkyBall VII, being held on Oct 24, 2009.

Colonel Gary "Gumby" Graham has had a very impressive service record with the Marine Corps since 1983 and assumed command of Marine Aircraft Group 41 in July of 2007. He has accumulated 4,500 flight hours and 175 carrier landing in his flying carrier.

Colonel Graham's new assignment is mostly Washington based but with strong Fort Worth connections - i.e., the Joint Strike Fighter Program. We hope to see him often here in Fort Worth.
